The stitch library offers 394 stitches, including 67 decorative stitches, 3 alphabets, 8 buttonholes, and practical stitches like a stretch stitch for stretchy fabrics. There is a maximum stitch width of 7 mm. The Bernette 38 has a bright LED sewing light, a needle threader, and an automatic and manual thread cutter, in addition to practical functions such as speed regulation, stop/start, and needle stop up/down. A large extension table with eight presser feet is also included.
